The Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) aims at advancing the quality and scope of mechanical engineering in Canada. Heat Transfer and Energy Systems are important areas in mechanical engineering. Research, education, and industrial development in these areas play critical roles in solving urgent global challenges such as energy and water supply, and climate change.
The CSME Seminar Series on Heat Transfer and Energy Systems aims to create a forum of scholarly exchange of research and development in these areas and to promote national and global collaboration in solving these challenges. The seminar topics will include but are not limited to fundamental thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, interfacial and phase change phenomena, fluid flow with and without chemical reactions, and various processes and technologies for energy conversion, storage, transport and utilization.
The seminars will feature distinguished speakers from Canada and around the world who have made outstanding contributions in the research of heat transfer and energy systems. The seminars are open to all researchers and students in Canada who are interested in heat transfer and energy systems. The seminars are delivered online through live video conferences, with Q/A sessions for speaker-audience interactions and will be held approximately bi-monthly.
